Oakland Considering Ban on Plastic Bags...Does it mean anything?

Help! I am getting overwhelmed!

I have a Real Estate blog that focuses on the "Green" aspects of the business. I have always been an environmentalist, but the amount of information available to me these days vs. even five years ago about environmental issues, problems, things to change, is starting to bury me.

It has had the opposite effect on my blog, of me commenting on less and less. How to focus? What to discuss? And I am still trying to sell houses along the way...

I have been really happy with the plastic grocery bag bans. They just seem to make sense and then I see this graph about “Paper vs. Plastic.” I don’t know why this was so shocking to me.
Clearly… there is much more work to be done in communication for myself and my clients and friends.

I suppose we need to do as Michael Pollen says, “eat locally, mostly plants, not too much.”
I just have to remind myself, Going green is a practice, not a perfect!
